Sale of Two Seawater RO Plants

Notice is hereby given that Barka Water and Power Company (BWPC) has issued a public tender calling for Bids to Sell, Dismantle, and Remove two Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) Desalination plants with associated control systems, pumps, electric motors and pipework from their site at Barka. Both SWRO plants have a design life of 30 / 25 years with about 50% of design life still available for commercial use.

Sale Process

BWPC invites interested parties with the necessary expertise and financial resources to submit their bid offers for the Purchase, Dismantling and Removal of the two SWRO desalination plants at Barka.

The sale process will proceed in two parts;

Part-1 includes:

  • Issuance of sale tender documents via its website (https://www.barkaone.com)
  • Provide access to interested companies a Virtual Data Room (VDR) covering all relevant documents, drawings, and reports
  • Facilitate site visit and Q&A sessions
  • Interested companies to submit their firm offers as per the tender guidelines

Part-2 will cover:

  • bids evaluation by BWPC
  • Compliant bidders will be requested to submit bid and performance bonds
  • Notification of Sale award to the successful bidder(s)
